-90th Annual Crow Fair
Celebration "Teepee Capital of the World" on the
banks of the historic Little Big Horn River,
Crow Agency, Montana-
Welcome Statement
From the great Apsaalooke Nation of Crow Country
in southeastern Montana, we in the
Administration, and with the management and the
staff of the Crow Fair Board, extend a heartfelt
welcome to all our visitors and friends from
near and far. By visiting our homeland, you have
now become a friend.
Over 100 years ago Crow Indian leaders organized
a gathering of the six Crow Reservation
Districts to perform the arts and display the
culture and invited other tribes to participate.
Bringing together Native people of the Great
Plains during the early days was not an easy
task, and so today we honor our ancestors by
continuing the tradition of that "giant family
reunion under the Big Sky."
Now in this era, the third weekend of August has
become the annual Crow Fair, which grows larger
and becomes more exciting with each new
generation. Thank you for attending our
festivities, enjoy your visit and we hope you
have a safe and relaxing time.
Sincerely,
